Information used by the site

ChurnCards compares publicly listed card offers. The tools do not ask for your income, account numbers, Social Security number or credit application. Card applications take place on external sites under their own policies.

Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregate estimates of pageviews, visits, referral sources, countries, browsers and devices. Our hosting provider also processes requests to deliver and secure the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of service data.

Optional usage analytics

When Google Analytics is configured, an optional choice appears on the production site. Its script is loaded only after you choose “Allow usage analytics.” It uses cookies and technical device/request information to measure visits and events such as application-link clicks, comparison changes and shortlist saves or removals. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in the site configuration.

Our event payloads include the page path, the selected card’s public identifier where relevant, a comparison card count, and whether an application link is an affiliate link. They exclude URL query strings, search text, budget inputs, flowchart answers and application URLs. See Google’s privacy policy for its processing of analytics information.

You can keep optional analytics off and still use every comparison tool. When configured, “Analytics preferences” near the bottom of the page lets you change your choice. Turning it off stops further optional collection on that browser and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site. Withdrawing permission does not erase events previously received by Google.

Storage on your device

The shortlist is saved in your browser’s local storage so it survives a reload. Your optional analytics choice is stored separately. Clearing site storage removes those records. The churning flowchart’s answers remain in temporary page state and are not included in analytics events. Shortlists are not synchronized to an account or another device.

Application links and correspondence

A destination issuer or affiliate network may use its own tracking after you follow a link. Its application process is separate from ChurnCards. Our affiliate disclosure explains the status of links on this site.

If you email us, your message and address are used to respond. We do not require an account to browse the site or use its tools, and we do not sell the information submitted to us.
